In-app Initial Setup

While the below setup is not mandatory, it is strongly recommended to follow each step and do all setups to get the best performance out of the app.

Each of the below steps represents a menu item and as best practice, it is recommended to follow them in the order presented below.

Room Types and Rate Plans

The first thing to do once the property is in the system and connected to the relevant external systems is to define the room types and rate plans (rate codes) that you wish to manage within the app.

To do this, you must open the “Room Types and Rate Plans” screen.

Settings

In the “Basic” tab of the “Settings” screen, you will find the “VAT, Local Taxes and Breakfast Amount Settings” area.

Capacity Management

If you see a menu item by this name, it means that the PMS of this property does not send or sends incomplete/unreliable inventory information via the connection. This means you must manage the capacity of the property and inventory / out-of-order data for each room type manually. For detailed information, please see “Capacity Management“.

Seasons / Events

In this screen, you define the seasonality of the property and add the events in the destination. See “Seasons / Events” for more information.

Hotel Rates

In this screen, you define the global pricing strategy for each “day type”. By “day type” we understand a season or an event category. See “Hotel Rates” for more information.
