Comments

The app gives users the possibility to write comments (notes) per hotel, for any arrival date. The comments are visible to all users having access to the respective hotel, so they can also be used for “instructions” or “reminders” between users.

The existence of one or more comments on any given arrival date is marked throughout the app by the display of the icon. Below are two examples:

The header column in the grid-type reports also allow quick adding of comments by clicking the dedicated icon.

Comments are managed in the “Day Inspector“:

The area shows the existing comments (date when it was created, the comment itself and the user who wrote it) and an “Add comment” button.

Comments written by the same user can be edited or deleted by clicking the appropriate icons to the left of each comment’s creation date. Prompts appear when editing or deleting comments:

Adding comments is done by clicking the “Add comment” button:

This allows to add a new comment not just for the selected arrival date (used as predefined period) but also for any given period of time.

The comment can be marked as “external”, which means it will be exported when various data exports per arrival date are made, or left “internal” which means it’s just visible in the app.

Each comments can have a lifetime (in days); if a comment has a lifetime defined, it will be automatically deleted once the time has passed (in full days).
